Last week's words on wellness newsletter focused on a different way to see food: nutrients instead of calories which are found mostly in colorful vegetables. My personal rule of thumb is to have at least three bright colors on my plate. One of the colors always being green. That way I can ensure that I am getting beneficial nutrients. Another way to supplement a "diet"(habitual nourishment) can be to drink a juice with a colorful meal.
Many people result to juicing so they can cleanse or detoxify (to remove a harmful substance (such as a poison or toxin) or its effect) since we encounter many toxins on a daily basis. From pesticides to cleaners.
I would like to compile a list of restaurants in each area or even in between areas that may have healthier options that are worth trying, especially for those that are traveling. Please send me your suggestions for your healthy alternatives that cater to others seeking nutrients for optimal health benefits.
